Sir Rod Stewart provides celebrity support at Police ceremony

In October Sir Rod joined family and friends of 20 new police officers and special constables. His wife Penny Lancaster has become one of our new special constables. Ward of Cheap Councillor Tijs Broeke represented the City of London Corporation police authority board as deputy chair alongside Police Commissioner Angela McLaren at passing out parade. Tijs said: “It was fantastic to speak to all new members of our City of London Police family about their background and passions. At the awards ceremony in Guildhall afterward recruits were reminded to always treat people how you would expect to be treated. The police are the public and the public are the police”
