This City Corporation has set out new Destination City strategy: a £2.5m annual investment in an ambitious programme of work to boost the City’s leisure offer. Building on recent cross-London campaigns to create a leading destination for workers, residents and UK and international visitors to enjoy.
Destination City will give a new voice for tourism and leisure in the Square Mile, backed by an industry-led City Envoy Network. Building the City’s reputation as a destination that is vibrant, fun, sustainable and inclusive. And leveraging the Square Mile’s identity, culture and heritage to curate a distinctly ‘City’ events programme that offers ‘something for everyone’ including: outdoor festivals, music, art, education, sport and wellness experiences in the City’s iconic settings and hidden spaces.
