This month we celebrated the 10th anniversary of The City Academy, Hackney. Truly inspirational to see amazing achievements of our students. Thanks to Sheriff Michael Mainelli for opening the event and handing out the prizes. It was an honour as Deputy Chair and sponsor lead for the City of London Corporation to represent the governors. ‪

A huge congratulations to our students for their GCSE results in August. 77% of students achieved GCSE English and 71% maths at the Academy.

Always daunting to address a crowd of 16 year olds and teachers! But it was great to share my own school journey from insecurity, coming out, to self belief and focus.
