On Thursday 5 July elections took place to elect a new Alderman for the Ward of Cheap as Jeffrey, The Lord Mountevans last month stepped down after serving the Ward and the City for over a decade. 7 candidates stood for election. Turn out was strong with 54.9% of the registered electors casting their vote. The Ward of Cheap team of Common Councilman are very happy to welcome Robert Hughes-Penney as our newly elected Alderman.
